Thanks, rh535 - I posted about the same time you did!

Hisense Sero 7 Pro - Unboxing pictures (no video)

I think I found the answer to my question by checking on other tablets with GPS - you apparently need a data connection to set the initial route for navigation. You can then download a specific area of Google maps and set a route in with it. BUT ... if you deviate from that route, it will serve...

Hisense Sero 7 Pro - Unboxing pictures (no video)

Maybe not the best place to ask this, but it's the only Hisense thread I see right now. Don't berate me for not knowing this (lol), but will the built-in GPS allow you to use the tablet as a navigation device while driving? Or does it have to be connected to a wifi signal to operate the maps?

Yes, they had both at my store. I'm in Texas, and they seem to be slowly propagating across the U. S.

It's worth mentioning that the Wally website said there were none anywhere near my area - even after entering several zip codes. But when I walked past the electronics case later today there were stacks of them. Don't believe the website.;)

OK, been gone. What happened with the Market?

Many thanks, Cyber. So you think 5.0 has the Play Store included? I'll start doing a search.

OK, been gone. What happened with the Market?

So I'm running TNT Lite 4.20. haven't used the GTab for awhile, but now the market won't let me update apps. Also, it's no longer displaying all apps. I've searched until my eyes are bleeding, and I've read that the Market has been replaced by the Play Store or whatever. So how do I get from...

Wi-fi issues with TNT Lite 2.0?

Yeah, I've considered it. I'm new to Android, though, and it has taken me a while to sort things out after flashing to this version of TNT Lite. I also don't know enough about the other ROM's to know if I want them - I like the stock keyboard, for example, and don't want to have to get used to...

    Changing toolbar in TNT Lite?

My toolbar has the silly phone icon at the left margin (v. 2.0), and of course it's useless. I saw a video where the guy had replaced it with the Settings icon, but he didn't say how. Anyone wanna tell me how to edit the toolbar to switch icons? Thanks. . .

Wi-fi issues with TNT Lite 2.0?

Since I flashed TNT Lite 2.0 my wi-fi reception has been sucko. I have a strong signal in my house, but when I sit on my couch (20 ft. from my router), the strength will fluctuate from strong to weak to nothing ... then re-connect in a couple minutes. Drives me nuts. My laptop doesn't do that...

    New Gtab owner

Thanks, guys - that's helpful. I'm not 100% happy with TNT Lite, but I'm also not thrilled about re-flashing tp a new ROM, either. Still having small issues with TNT Lite, for that matter. I'll look closer at Gingerbread - I may go that way. . .

    New Gtab owner

Is there someplace with screenshots, etc. of the interfaces? I flashed TNT Lite, and it's a little spartan in ways. How do you know what you're getting with a given ROM without installing it? . .

    Marketplace

The easiest way to gain access to the Market - and improve the overall performance of your tablet - is to ditch the Tap-n-Tap user interface and install one of the many custom "ROM's" out there. IOW, you're basically jailbreaking or hacking your tablet and installing a different "OS". Most of...

    Noob question re: market apps

Okay, I think I answered my own question. I flashed the tablet with TNT Lite and when I tried to access the Market it prompted me to set up GMail and Framework. I think maybe that did it, but my tablet ran low on battery power and I haven't tried it again yet. Quite a learning curve for the G...

    Noob question re: market apps

New owner of G tab and I'm sure this has been discussed a million times ... BUT ... maybe someone will take pity on me and help. When I try to go to Android Market to get apps to side-load, it blocks me by saying there is not an Android device registered to my Google account. That's true - this...
