This was a problem for me after the Oreo update. I could see all the photos for my phone, but not for the SD card. I applied a lite version of the first suggestion. Under Settings/Apps/Gallery (there is no ALL), I selected Storage, then Clear Cache. This did the trick, and now Gallery sees...

I -want- to be notified. I just don't want the mails opening by themselves. Pretty sure that part's not supposed to happen.

I asked this specifically on the Note 8 forum... Sometimes (a couple of times a day), I will be using any of a number of apps, usually YouTube, Photoshop, GoSMS, FB, etc., and during a transition of some kind, Gmail will open and display a mail. This never happens with a personal mail, but...

I thought that, too, but I went and checked my inbox on the Gmail site, both ads in the named example were legitimate (if you can call them that) ads that were pulled from Gmail, as they are both now marked read. These are the messages. I've never captured a popped-up email in screenshot...

Anybody have gmail pop to the foreground showing an ad you just received? This has happened a number of times to me while using other apps. I was convinced I was just fat fingering something, but I'm not so certain anymore. For instance... I'm using GoSMS and suddenly, up pops my Gmail open...

I get the impression that this one has the edge-only adhesive (hence bubble-free). The air gap is a problem for me in the way that the phone looks, at a minimum. Was this one full adhesive, or edge only? mjc
