    How to measure battery voltage?

Hi My phone has refused to switch on and I've tried all the possible button combinations. Charging it heats up, but neither the screen or LED come on. I hope it's just a battery issue so I've taken it apart. However, the battery connector appears to have several copper contacts. To measure the...

Is there a terminal app for communicating with Bluetooth 4 serial devices?

Terminal app for communicating with Bluetooth 4 serial devices I wonder if there's an app for communicating with Bluetooth 4 serial devices. Even to just read the data received. I've tried Blueterm and a few others, but they won't connect. I suspect they're only designed for Bluetooth 2 rather...

Fast charger for both Samsung S4/S6 and iPhone 5/6?

But how is "fast" or "quick" charging defined? Does it have to be 2A+? Even with the S4, it seems it'll only pull 500mA from other chargers but 800mA from its official one. With a good cable, it'll draw 1300mA. Unfortunately I can't post links yet, but there's a post on XDA "Findings on Galaxy...

Fast charger for both Samsung S4/S6 and iPhone 5/6?

Hi Does anyone know of a charger that supports fast charging an iPhone 5/6 at 1000mA+ and Samsung S4/S6 (work phones) at 1300mA+? I believe that Samsung and Apple use different circuitry at the data pins - the voltage dividers are slightly different - so I wonder if there's a charger out there...

    Do you leave bluetooth on?

I think the battery consumption on standby is very very minuscule and it doesn't go into discovery unless you explicitly tell it to scan.

    Do you leave bluetooth on?

But isn't it that if you leave bluetooth on, it doesn't go into discovery mode unless you explicitly ask it to 'scan'? So, essentially it doesn't use more power if you just leave it on.
