Read online that Google Assistant comes shipped with the S8/S8+. Is this true? Apparently there is also a way to set this as the default assistant (instead of the half baked Bixby). Anyone managed to test it out?

Mine is being delivered today by Vodafone. Didn't expect it until next week (I only ordered it yesterday). Phone is out for delivery now but at work so hoping they leave it with my neighbour as requested. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Can still get about £300 trade in for the S7 Edge with...

Upgrading from a S7Edge which I was pretty much forced to get after the Note 7. Not been a massive fan of it overall so was more than happy to upgrade early.

Read that Google Home isn't coming to the UK - anyone else heard this? For some reason, just can't see myself ordering an Echo and calling a black tube 'Alexa'. Was going to wait for Google Home but looks like it isn't destined here anytime soon. :(

Why is it better than Android Pay? Not causing an argument, genuinely interested. I use Android Pay in the UK and you don't even need to unlock with your fingerprint. The phone doesn't even have to be unlocked if NFC is on. It's brilliant.

Fair to say their test team has probably been rather busy of late - or not depending on which way you look at it...

Got my S7 Edge yesterday after handing back my Note 7 and the lack of third party AOD was the first thing I noticed. Hope they come soon as that was the feature I loved most about the Note 7 (stylus aside). The lack of third party apps makes the AOD nothing more than a digital clock.

I bought the phone outright sim free. The Note 7 was the replacement device.
