Moto X (1st gen): Front Camera Grommet Dislocated

Re: Moto X - Front Camera Grommet Dislocated I just had to start the process of returning my phone for this issue... Really really annoying. At least this gives me a chance to grab a wood back X. But still. Not happy. Posted via Android Central App

    I sold my Nexus 7 2013

I have a Q10 on my desk right now collecting dust. I really gave it a fair chance and enjoyed what the OS could do, but I just don't know how someone could migrate everything from Google services to blackberry. With iOS and Windows Phone, there's still a native ecosystem that translates well to...

    SOL Republic JAX

Weirdly, the volume on the ones I got from Motorola is noticeably lower than a pair I got from FYE. Don't know if that was a Motorola request or something, but its a bit annoying. Posted via Android Central App

Where the heck is the water damage indicator?

I've been wondering if the coating on the Moto G is the same as what's on the Moto X. Probably is, but it seems people are much more interested in putting the Moto G underwater. still haven't seen one video of that for the X

Moto X: terrible battery life on standby

Re: Moto x terrible battery life on standby Same, as long as I'm not doing anything else with it. I'm in an area where I don't get great reception (10 story office), so doing anything on it like Youtube watching will wreck the battery while its pulling data over 4G. Still haven't gotten a...

The Moto X will be legendary

Please refer to Framed - an iphone 4S short story on Vimeo to see that even a decent camera in a phone can produce great results and that there are people out there who like the idea of using them. Why would I want to spend upwards of $500 on a single camera that can't multitask when I already...

Moto X: Anybody else want a dedicated thread for rooting?

Re: Anybody else want a dedicated thread for rooting? I think its more the fact that there are many guides on XDA regarding the different ways of rooting for both locked and unlocked Bootloaders. No need to start a thread here when the only thing we will do is be linking to that site for the...

    official cyanogenmod for moto g?

ohhhh i see. yeah in case, rooting would be a really bad idea. Unlocking the bootloader to gain root access permanently voids warranty and has a very small chance of being relocked. If the OP already know what they want to do with Root Access, its not worth the trouble.

    official cyanogenmod for moto g?

Changing the 3G Icon to properly show H+, Using Xposed Framework with XVoice+ (route all SMS through Google Voice so I can use Hangouts), Youtube AdAway (removes Ads before vids), MotoGuide (adds Charging LED so I know if my jank charger is working), Gravity Box (customize lockscreen...

buy a $50 Otterbox Defender case on a Moto G that only cost me $69? (Verizon version on Amazon)

Insurance is an intangible product with no research or manufacturing cost so I'm not seeing the similarity. There are cases from all sorts of companies ranging from $5 to $880,000 on the market right now for various phones, but the price of the cases themselves aren't set by the type of phone...

buy a $50 Otterbox Defender case on a Moto G that only cost me $69? (Verizon version on Amazon)

The Quality of materials used in Otterbox cases doesnt change based on the phone its made for. the Defender for the Moto G is the same as the one for the Note 3, so they are priced as such. Its totally up to you whether or not you want to protect a $60 phone, but the phone's price should never...

Crackle, Echo when on call in both handset as well as speaker

I'm in the US. Now that I think about it, I don't remember hearing that much static on 4.3, so it might be a software based problem. I might give Motorola tech support a call and see this is a known issue.
