2010 Lexus RX350 and DroidX - a match not made in heaven

Pay attention Why do you have to be such a jerk? (And, if you are going to be a jerk, you should use a spell checker.) If you've been paying attention you would have read that most of those complaints were bogus and thrown out. Seems like piling on is the new American past time. I've had...

DROID X Users: What's Going to be Your Next Phone?

I will be going iPhone as soon as it is released from Verizon even though I just got my X in August. Having just got an iPad I am convinced the Apple stuff is superior. BTW, the iPad makes the X seem like child's play. Of course, it's not a phone...yet.

2010 Lexus RX350 and DroidX - a match not made in heaven

I have no idea what that is. Can you enlighten me? I did a search for this but was confused at all the results. The car has a USB port, but I get an "Error 1" message when I try to play through it. I'm using my normal USB cable (that I'd use to connect to my computer) to plug into the DroidX...

2010 Lexus RX350 and DroidX - a match not made in heaven

So, I got my new DroidX in August and in September got a new RX350 (yes, two new toys). I love the car, but finally got around to trying to pair the audio with it to listen to my 3,000 songs I have on the DroidX. I got the Bluetooth phone set up and loved the hands-free, but, the audio is a...

Is Froyo 2.2 worth it? I'm seeing too many posts with problems.

I am hesitating doing this upgrade because of all the issues I see cropping up. For example: http://forum.androidcentral.com/motorola-droid-x/36564-cant-make-calls-after-froyo-update.html and, http://forum.androidcentral.com/motorola-droid-x/31031-froyo-problems-music.html Coming from the...

    Looking to Buy Android Phone

Gee, at Verizon, the Droid X is $299 and if you have the new every two, you get a hundred dollar rebate. $299 versus $199 doesn't sound like a big deal. It's very small money to pay to get away from the BB, which I came from.

Contacts & calendar not syncing up to Gmail account

Here's how I do it manually To sync both calendar and contacts with my gmail accounts and my droid x, I have to go to Settings/Account then select the gmail account and then it offers to sync calendar, contacts or gmail. I have yet to figure out how to do this automatically. Does anyone know?

Blackberry Storm power supplies work well with Droid X

I moved from a BB Storm 1 to the DX and much to my delight, all the power accessories work well with it. I'm returning the extra wall charger and car charger I bought ($40 worth!) I didn't see this anywhere in here so I thought I'd post it. There is a post in the Incredible forum saying the...

Can't hear phone ringing in holster - how to increase the volume?

While in the holster I can't hear the ring. Even when just sitting on the desk it's not very loud, and I do have the volume turned up all the way. Forget about hearing it in the car when the radio is on. Is there a 3rd party app that will increase the volume? On my old BB the vibrate was...

Thanks for the responses Thanks for the responses, especially to MikeSmith who was kind enough to tell me how to do some of the things I want to do. Now that I have it configured, and am much more comfortable I really love the device. I am blown away at how fast the browser is, even when it's...

But, a Porsche is still a car no offense taken, I don't know why it's too much to expect these things to be a phone first, and a a powerful device second. A Porsche is an unbelievable car, damn fast, nimble, and sporty. I think the analogy might be more that the X is like a van conversion...

After a day, I'm not sold... Yup, the screen is amazing and the browser works really well under WiFi, but as a phone, well, it sucks. Where are the simple things that have been in phones for twenty years like speed-dial keys? How come when the phone rings I have to swipe, rather than have it...
