Why do you want to use a Chromebook? an internet only device? I don't understand the use case or value proposition other than in schools.

I disagree with your take in " "Here's a phone you should get your kid instead of the iPhone" . Kids still prefer iPhones and the iPhone SE is in the same price range as the Pixel 7a. There are other iPhones in that bracket as well.

I have both devices and use both. The iPad Air is, for me, primarily a consumption device, although that is changing with the Note's sd card storage and ease of use of media without iTunes. The Note is my workhorse. Spen with the Wacom digitizer can't be beat for accuracy and versatility. And...
