I'd go for the Moto X. It's not that hard to keep a phone off the ground. But that's just me. I don't see why you'd want an ugly phone that has barely any support just because it's tough. Meh.

I happy with my S5 at the moment, I've gotten used to Android and don't feel like switching again.

You're basically asking what the point of a tablet is. The SHIELD tablet is just a tablet... with a very good cpu/gpu (plus a few features for gamers). If you are asking this question you probably don't have any need for a tablet at all.
