    Default Echo Clockwork Recovery

Somebody here that owns the Echo and has some basic adb skills run the command,
    Code:
     adb shell mount > mount.txt
and paste the output in the mount.txt here as a reply.

Well, I had some unix skills in a previous life, so I took your request as the
reason I needed to install echo drivers and the sdk.

mount.txt from my unrooted echo is attached.
May it bring us all goodness.

Finally got a response from a mod on xda, we won't get one unless there's more interest in the echo

Does anyone have any Linux skills? If so, you could try this:

I've been trying to do this but I can't get it to work.

Not yet, I'm getting set up for this right now since it looks kind of promising:

But assuming failure, then that's next. I have 7 days off starting monday so with any luck I might have one built by the end of the week, no promises though

I'm actually set up for both of them I think. I just don't have too much Linux know-how so when I run into errors, I don't know any workarounds.

    Hey Jamin, found something interesting:

"At this time, there is no Recovery Mode for the Echo."

Haha that's something I've never seen before

Yep, that's what they told me.

A bunch of BS to me but someone, if not us, will figure out how to get a recovery.

Too true, I'm almost set, was able to piece together everything I needed to know from the CyanogenMod Wiki. So come Monday I should be good to go on building it

I'm down, what do you need me to do there? I went on my xoom and I'm not sure what you need.

Sorry, I meant do we have enough support for this? I guess this thread had been dormant for some time and I wanted to see if people have any interest in getting some customizations going.

Frankly speaking this is the only forum in which I am seeing some serious activity (though very low on volume) for the Echo phone.

Hopefully, we will get support from some Dev who can make things better for us with a custom ROM (i know it is far fetched) and recovery.

There is a small discussion over on XDA, Jamin has been trying to get a Clockwork recovery going, but I'm not sure he is having much luck.

Yeah, it's really just me and Jamin who've been working on anything at all, but we're not devs. I can theme but that's about as far as my knowledge goes. He's been trying to get the recovery working but hasn't had any luck, and it really doesn't help that no dev will even help us out since our phone is "different".

If I didn't like being different, then that would probably bug me lol
