    Default Root?

    i know there isnt any roms because of bootloader problems i believe(correct me if im wrong) but is there anyway to root it? I tried gingerbreak but it didn't work on my phone

    It's tricky. I know some people don't like xda so I will post a guide tonight.

    I have tried and tried and tried to get the xda root package to work under ubuntu 12.10 and Win XP Pro. I got jack! Any help leading to a success would be like a awesome Christmas present. Cole2kb off topic but I am originally from Alto Pass IL, I lived at the bottom of Bald Knob Mountain. I ride out to the cross every year I now live about 40 miles from Springfield. I miss it down there!

    Check the sticky thread. It also contains a linux script that should work for you, with modified Superuser binary and apk that works for the RiSE. Did it multiple times and it worked just fine for me.
