How to jailbreak a sanyo Zio

Hey guys, i'm writing on my cousins behalf. He recently bought a sanyo Zio and he would like to know if it is possible to jailbreak an android phone, and if you can what can you do with a jailbroken android phone. I'm usually the tech expert that everyone goes to but i'm an ios guy so i nothing about android.

Normally I would do more than post and run, but I'm really tired and was just wandering to see what was going on with this phone since a good friend just got it. Anyways, the answer is yes you can "jailbreak" on Android. However, it is actually called rooting within the Android user community.

I'll check back tomorrow sometime to see if you want to know anything specific, but I can almost guarantee that this link, or some other forum post, will be more helpful.
