Tablet as E-Ready for Textbooks

I'm going back to school to get my masters and I'm throwing around the idea of getting a tablet and using that for my textbooks with kindle or barnes and noble e-books.
Anyone have any thoughts on the usability of a tablet for this?

Also, any good deals on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 anywhere?

+1 to this. Not only don't you have to carry around books, you can do other stuff on the tablet as well. Like keep you schedule, e-mail reports and assignments, ToDo list of when things are do, etc. You will find a ton of other things do to with the tablet.
