Nook Color, Dell Streak 7, or...?

Hi, I've been considering getting a tablet, but am having some trouble deciding on one and was hoping for some advice. I've considered the Nook Color, the Dell Streak 7, chinese knockoffs, the Galaxy Tab, or an ipad(would prefer to stay with Android). All of these seem to have their good and bad points, but what kind of experiences have you had with them? What can one actually expect from the Streak 7 for battery life? How stable and easy to use is a rooted NC? Are there any chinese knockoffs that aren't flaky and have a capacitive screen?
Any insight into how you decided on a tablet would also be appreciated.
