My husband just got me for my birthday a little white tablet-thing from craigslist. I cannot for some reason find out what it is (manufacturer/model). Here is what Settings/About Tablet shows:

MODEL NUMBER: MID
ANDROID VERSION: 4.0.4
KERNAL VERSION: 3.0.8+
bx@bx-System-Product-Name #356

Fri Aug 24 15:59:34 CST 2012
BUILD NUMBER: rockchip IMM76D

It is small, white, has 3 buttons on 1 long side, card slot + mini-usb port + dc port, etc on short.

Thank you for any help with this simple-sounding question!

Rockchip is a Chinese System on a Chip (SoC) manufacturer, typically making extremely low cost ARM processors that are typically used in inexpensive, usually unbranded, Android tablets. IMM76D refers to the Android build used (I refers to ICS or Android 4.0.x, in this case it is 4.0.4).

If you go to Settings > About Tablet > Legal Information it *might* have the manufacturer's terms and conditions listed, which might have their name, etc. Unfortunately it's hard to get specifics about the device without

Another thing, if you download the app CPU-Z https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...tails?id=com.cpuid.cpu_z&hl=en&token=c59-Dmje
The "System" tab within that app usually has Model, Manufacturer, etc listed as well, so that may give a clue there too.
