I have an Android that I only use as a GPS. Is there a GPS app that I don't have to find wifi to enter in my destination? Usually I'm required to find wifi, enter the address, then it'll guide me to my destination. But if I make a wrong turn, it says "data connection lost" and I have to again find a wifi to get re routed. Please help. All regular GPS use the satellites. Why can't the GPS apps?
I have no sense of direction so this is a MUST HAVE for me.

Glad you asked this. over the weekend we discovered by turning off the wifi and turning on the mobile data settings (unlimited) we can pick up 3G/4G network without any sort of login.. This means when you're on the road, set the device to "location". This can work with Google Maps, but at that time, we used the Mapquest app. For more then 300 miles plus the GPS tracking our location/locater worked just like a trip app and shows us where we were and which direction we're heading.
