How do I get this Lg revo vs910 out of bootloop?

Someone gave me a bricked phone. I like to fix things. I only have very basic terminal/adb experience. The phone has CWM v5.0.2.7 recovery. It will only boot cwm. When I try to 'wipe data/factory reset' it prints.

Formating /data. . .
Formating /cache. . .
Formating/sd-ext. . .
E:format_volume: make_ext4f4s failed on /dev/block/mmcblk1p2
Formating /sdcard/.android secure!
Error mounting /sdcard/.android_secure!
Skipping format. . .
Data wipe complete.

Adb recognizes the device. Fastboot gets stuck on '. . .waiting for device. . .'

Update-I installed an update from the ext sd and now it will mount the sd.

if you can find your stock recovery img file that will fix your booting issue. worst case scenario you can always flash it back to stock using your stock kdz file.
