Thought maybe it would be nice to share our experiences with Apps. Are they battery suckers or the best Wear app that you have.

Textra

I have used GoSMS Pro for years and it seamed to work fine on the watch. I went ahead and installed Textra just to play with it and see what I thought. Here's what is Interesting. With Go SMS I got the options to reply via sms or Open on phone but with Textra I get Reply, mark as read or call. I like those three options much better.
It would be interesting to hear what other messaging apps others are using and what options on the 360 they get.

I have Google Keep on my phone and it shows up on the M360 Start menu. You say "Take a note" and you have a note on your phone/watch/pc/tablet too. Just say "Keep app" to your watch and you have a list of your notes on your watch. Pretty sweet!

What other things do you guys use your watches for? I recently got the Moto 360 for my spouse and she is unsure what she can do with it... Would be nice if there was a keyboard for it, although it would have to be a circular one lol

One good idea would be to have Uber app on the Moto360. I know Pebble already has this and you can hail a car right from your watch... pretty cool

I had to look that up. It's a cool feature but never ever had the need to get a cab but I am headed to Vegas soon so I think I will load it for that trip.

One good idea would be to have Uber app on the Moto360. I know Pebble already has this and you can hail a car right from your watch... pretty cool

Use lyft, its already on the 360...

No but I noticed it kept muting my phone volume randomly so I uninstalled it.

I've been using Facer to apply custom watchfaces (all I've found are free, and most are TRULY awesome) and so far I haven't seen any difference in battery drain from using it VS using any of the stock watchfaces. So far I'm using a nice, Mickey-Moused themed watchface (you know, the one where his hands are the clock's hands hehe), but yesterday it was a Rolex, and tomorrow it might be something else.

I installed it to see if I experience the same thing as you did. I had the same experience.
