I have a Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen Verizon smartphone.

Running Lollipop 5.1 apparently. I'm using it just as a mini tablet for now and I don't want to activate the phone feature with Verizon yet. That part works ok, but every time I start up the device it tries to activate thru Verizon. It really doesn't interfere with Web browsing or email, but is a bit annoying. How would I disable this feature or turn it off? Thanks!
