Why can't I send or receive Pictures via text message?

Hello! I got a Consumer Cellular Moto E in Decemeber, and I can not figure out how to send or recieve Pictures in text message. I have tried everything, even the APN settings but it still doesn't work. I need help on how to fix it, because I really want to be able to send and receive pictures without having to use email. I also can't do group messages either. I just upgraded to the Google messenger and it takes forever to send my messages, and sometimes it doesn't send them at all. I need help!

Do you have a valid data plan? Picture messages and group messaging don't work as they need mobile data (only WiFi-calling enabled phones can do that over WiFi as well or using special WiFi-enabled apps like Verizon's messaging system). Also your carrier might need to activate mobile data/MMS capabilities on your line before you can do that.
