I like Dusk. Easy to read, not too bright (which can be a pain if you're using the phone in a dark room). I like the themes where the numbers and symbols have good contrast with the background, because in bright light, it can be hard to see them if there isn't good contrast.

Swiftkey is slow to appear sometimes. The Google keyboard just seems more fluid.

Same here. There is some lag for the keyboard to pop up compared to stock. Not sure if it is the same for other devices or just moto g.

I am using nickel. I also like the newest green theme. I can't remember what's the name of it though.

    Right now I'm using Forest.
Also, have noticed the same lag at start up of Swiftkey vs. Google.

How bad is this said lag? Is this the 4G version? What version of android are you running?

Perhaps one second from tapping the message box until the Swiftkey keyboard appears. The Google keyboard is instant. I've got 4.4.3

We just got our moto G and turned off the animations in developer mode. Seems to have fixed it. Have you given that a try?

I've done nothing to lessen the lag. For me one second is too trivial for correction because once the app is running everything is smooth. ( I also enjoy some of the animations. )
