Default India/Flipkart: Moto G being phased out?

Motorola Moto G gets phased out on Flipkart ahead of Moto G2 launch | Latest Tech News, Video & Photo Reviews at BGR India

Motorola is phasing out the Moto G in India ahead of launching its successor, the Moto G2. Flipkart now has a banner that says it now has the last stock of the Moto G 16GB version. Earlier Motorola had slashed the prices of both 16GB and 8GB variants of the Moto G by Rs 2,000. The Moto G 8GB version has been sold out on Flipkart for the last few days and stocks are unlikely to be replenished.

BGR India yesterday reported about Motorola hosting an event in New Delhi on September 5. The event coincides with another global event Motorola is hosting in Chicago, where it is expected to unveil the Moto X+1, Moto G2 and the Moto 360 Android Wear smartwatch. We believe Motorola will launch the Moto G successor in India at that event.

The pricing will be a key factor in determining whether the new moto g will be able to compete with the other brands.
