why is my moto g not turning on?

my moto g was charging last night but when I woke up this morning it wouldn't turn on all it does is the white light at the top of the phone blinks sometimes and then stops

Welcome to the forums. Can the device go into the Bootloader? Press volume up and power while the device is booting up.

Does the led light up when you connect the power cord? If yes, then the phone's battery has no charge. It could recover if you leave it plugged in, if it does not then it could be that the battery has gone bad and no longer holds charge.
