Moto G: Launcher is now white

My Moto-G's application background turned white

first it used to be black in color but now when I click on APPS symbol to see applications its backgroung has turned white
i want it to be black again as it was first. I searched in settings for its solution but no option was available.
Please help me ASAP!

Have you updated to Lollipop? The best way could be using a custom launcher (as Nova) and change the background colour.

There was an update for Google app, so maybe Now launcher had those changes. Which launcher are you using?

Even I am facing the same issue since 3 days, I am in India and I think we are still waiting for the Lollipop update.
So this cannot be purely due to Lollipop update. I dont want to use the Nova or any similar apps, but just rollback the update which caused this.

Any help from the expert Gurus would be appreciated.

Those changes came with the last Google app update. I don't know of any simple way to change the background colours.

In the settings you can uninstall updates but that will give you back the original version that came with your phone. There are some ways to sideload other versions but I haven't tried it, so no help there.

Just one recommendation. Before you start messing with the Google app make sure that it's not your only launcher. You don't want to end up with a blank screen and an unresponsive phone.

You must have your reasons for not using a custom launcher, but that's the best way to solve this problem. You could just try. Download Nova, import your setup and just change the couple of things that are bothering you.

Looks like a Google app update updated your Google Now Launcher to use a Lollipop theme.

Sidenote: Lollipop needs a dark theme.

Hi Priyanka,
Go to settings- apps- all- see "Google App" now open it and click on "uninstall updates". Problem Solved.
You will get your home screen and backround in the same way you were using it.

I am. Also facing same issues actually you have to uninstall the update Google app and in a play store you have to turn off automatic updates

The same has happened with me dear and while going to setting - apps - uninstalled is NOT highlighted. pl help me out to turn back as Black.

Stock is great but I like how in nova prime you can make it very similar to stock, but still be able to hide and modify apps
