Why is my Google Play services waking up device 24 hours (moto g2 . 5.0.2)?

Google Play services waking up device 24 hours (moto g2 . 5.0.2)

Google play services running 24 hrs and waking up device always in turn it is draining battery in just 5 hours in moto g2. if i restrict background sync . it is working fine.

Please provide any solution

Welcome to Android Central.

Google Play Services deals with app location reporting requests I believe, among other things. Make sure your settings are appropriate in Settings, Location....also your sync settings in Settings, Accounts & Sync.
A Power Off and Restart of the phone may help.
Consider also Safe Mode, which will test whether a third-party app is giving trouble.
