Can moto voice be disabled

Can Moto voice easily be disabled? And if so, would google now voice still work? I would like to only use google for voice commands. Thinking about getting the new moto x but I wanted to make sure of this first. Thanks

The Moto G will not have Moto Voice.

Moto Voice allows for hands-free voice stuff specifically when the screen is off.

If using the Google Now Launcher, the G will work just as every other voice without screen-off voice recognition does.

Keep in mind that this is the Moto G 2015 forums, not the X Style.

I'm sure a mod can close it, but my answer still applies. The X Style will almost certainly work just as well as any other Android phone for voice-commands with the added benefit of being able to do them even with the screen off (thanks to Moto Voice).

Moto Voice doesn't replace stock voice command abilities, it adds to them.
