    Ive tried copying bootanimation.zip files into the system/media folder but the default one still appears as normal. Help please!!!

    Hello,

    Rule of thumb has always been if you wish to run a custom boot animation you need to be using a custom kernel that supports them. Simply rooting isn't enough.

    I have boot loader unlocked and rooted. Whenever I try to change it, it doesn't work and it removes the stock Motorola one. It replaces it with grey highlighted "Android"

    New to the forum but did you ever get it going. I have fully modded stock moto g. Custom logo, animation and much more.
