Will the US GSM work in Brazil with Tim as a carrier?

Should do . I think that the GSM side is the same world over . It's the 3G that is different,..

As long if it works I am fine. Internet on phones here is slow and expensive. Thanks

I think that TIM has 3G on 1900 and 2100.

1800 is for HSPA+ or LTE.

The Global GSM model will probably work best.

The Global GSM variant only gives you 2G speeds in the US due to the frequencies that it uses. I have the US GSM variant and I get normal HSPA+ speeds.

You will get 3G speeds with the global model on AT&T. You will get 3G speeds with the global model on T-Mobile in areas where T-Mobile has re-farmed their 1900 MHz spectrum to 3G use.
