I love my new Moto G4 Plus, but I find the standard Time and Weather widget to be a bit mundane. There are lots of 3rd party alternatives, but for those who may like the Accuweather app that comes with this widget, I just came across an alternative, a version of other Moto devices' Command Center, posted by Sachin Naik in the Google+ Android Wallpapers community. Here is the link to the apk.

I also found a Turbo 2 version of Command Center that will work on this device. The download can be found here.

If you want the latest, check out the nexus 6 apps and themes page at xda and they have have the new Moto Z widget. It works on a MXPE with Marshmallow.

One thing I noticed is that the Turbo Z widget will show the next calendar event for the day if no alarm exists. Both will show the next alarm.

Those who've used the Turbo Z widget may already be aware of this (I'm new to Moto devices), but it shows when the device is plugged into the Turbo charger, and it changes the display when first plugging or unplugging the device to show the charge level. Nice feature.

Open settings and go to security, choose install from other sources, click yes on any security box that may pop up. Download the apk (app file) and when it is complete click on the download notification. Click next (if applicable) and then install. If Google asks for verify apps click yes. Once installed add it through your launcher app.
