Just FYI, the S case is on ebay for about $3 w/ free s/h,

the soft color Areser(TM) Ultra Slim Case cases are also on ebay for a dollar less, but this way you don't have to come up with more items for free ship.

The quicksand case is a little cheaper too.

Great price on that incipio case on Amazon! nice.

Here's my moto x ebay search, currently sorted low price to high:
"moto x" -(droid, flip, pouch, folio, handsfree, stylus) in Cases, Covers & Skins | eBay

Watch out for ship dates though, check origin, some come directly from china. :D

I just purchased a simple TPU case for now. I find they are good enough for my needs but I may search for something else if I want to make my phone look a bit more awesome. How do people feel about screen protectors? I never had to have one on any of my previous Droids. The glass was always able to last the two years without a scratch. I would always make fun of my dad who insisted on having a screen protector.. "you own a friggin' droid, you dont need one of them!" I know the MotoX isn't technically a droid but I assume the glass is of similar quality. Does anyone know?
Aren't they all made with gorilla glass?

Yes, the X display has Gorilla glass...

Moto X Gets the Teardown Treatment

I'm assuming its GG2? I feel like if it were 3 they would have advertised it or at least put the info out somewhere?

Early reports had it using Sapphire glass, but i haven't heard report of that since the x came out. That was just part of the ultimate wishlist rumors.

Ordered a Seidio belt case for mine. OK OK some think that a belt case is nerdy looking. Well so be it, works for me.

The more I handle the X, the less I want to cover it up with a case. It feels so solid and sturdy. The back has a very nice touch to it. For me, this is definitely the "sweet spot" between the Samsung plastic and the One aluminum.

I hate putting a case on my phones, but I figured I'd try to throw one on the X since it's so thin. Plus I was starting to get stains on the soft touch 'woven white' backing. Never had a white phone before and I don't have anything white because I hate when things get dirty.

Decided on the black Areser super thin case on Amazon: Amazon.com: Areser(TM) Ultra Thin Slim Fit Quicksand Hard Case + Free Stylus Pen for Motolora X Phone Google X Phone Moto X Phone (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

Just got it today, but seems really nice. Hardly adds any thickness to the phone, a bit less slippery, and overall a good feel. I try to be super careful with my phones because I will never put a huge thick case on it. Also have the screen protectors from Verizon, but only because I scratched the crap out of my last phone screen without one.

Here are a few pics comparing my old Rezound to the Moto X. (pics were taken with my fiance's LG Lucid, so don't give me too much crap haha) Man is this phone thin, far thinner than my Rezound even with a case on. Plus, you can see I 'modded' the case a tad, taking off the bar near the buttons to I could actually hit them without issue. Feels way better than the original. Used a razor blade to cut off the extra plastic, then shave it down smooth to look OEM.

Picked up a clear Diztronic from Amazon. Adds no bulk, and pushing the power and volume buttons are a non issue. Great case for 10 bucks.

I'm using the Verizon standard case holster combo. I need a holster during the day. Overall good case but like a few of the cases I've seen the top and bottom front is slightly exposed similar to the incipio. I wish it wrapped the edges a bit more like the diztronic. I'm wondering if any of the other cases would fit in the Verizon holster. I'm looking for the slimmest solution.

I have the exact same case and color for my black Moto X. I like the thin cases as they don't add much bulk. I do like the somewhat gritty feel on this case as it makes it more grippy.

I picked up the same Diztronic case and I also got a Qmadix. I like them both. However, I prefer the Diztronic case due to its slimness and it feels better in the hand over the Qmadix S series. The Qmadix is a bit bulky. Nothing like an Otter Box, but bulky nonetheless. I've been naked for two years, so I have to go with a slim case.

I like that Qmandix case. If my Moto X wasn't custimized I'd go for that. I've been looking for and buying cases that have a clear back. I have to agree this phone is real nice to hold naked.

Does the case raise up the screen off the surface a tad when it is facing down ?

I am using the Diztronic clear case which I love. Didn't add bulk, fits like a glove and I wanted something see thru.

I also ordered this and I'm excited to get it in. Really cool looking case.

I have it. I hate it. Worse case i've ever owned because it's not very easy to get the phone in and out of the holster. I am a fan of the Seidio holster cases as they make it very easy to get your phone in and out using the spring clip. I get so many emails, notices, and text messages due to my job that I need to have a holster so I can quickly get to my phone. Unfortunately, and much like anything else... there is always a trade off. In this case, I have to pay more for a Seidio case, expect less in aesthetics because they are not very attractive cases, but on the bright side I gain functionality which is more important to me.

If anyone come across a Spring Clip for the Moto X that works without a cover on the phone, please post that to the forum. I don't want to cover my custom designed phone, and I want the ability to have the phone in a holster to be protected and quickly accessible.

    Thanks-

If someone does see a spring clik holster i would like to know as well. Seidio said they would look into making one when i contacted them about it. It only makes sense. why would you want to cover up a custom color with a case.
