    Default Moto X 4.3 Leak

Looks like 4.3 just leaked from a test device's build. Yeah, you'll need to have an unlocked bootloader.

Bugs still apparent but camera performance is reportedly improved [...] They claim that the build seems to be slower than the current Android 4.2.2 that's shipping on the phone, but that the camera seems to be improved over what's available now.

Perhaps the camera APk is port-able though ?

After reading through the XDA thread, it looks like people are only seeing real benefit after applying the full package (rather than just trying to install the Camera and Gallery APKs alone). Jcase also stated that the initial vulnerability that provided root access was fixed. See here.

The initial vuln is fixed, the 2nd and 3rd are not but likely will be when released

It's probably slower because its just a engineering build and not final? lol

Yeah, I absolutely expect the final 4.3 build to be fast, smooth, and properly functional.

I'd imagine turning off all the extra debugging/logging code that the engineering builds have enabled would speed things up quite a bit. Then factor in that these are engineering builds aka semi generic and missing many device specific optimizations and you have the performance difference right there.

Oh and on a side note, I already posted this yesterday here

The leak is an engineering build and still a work in progress. No idea if the voice fix is on that version yet.
