Default Recommend a good File Explorer

I'm looking for an good, easy-to-use free file explorer for my moto x.
I'd like to be able to see all my files in one place without opening the individual apps, and i'd like to able to search as well.
    What would you recommend?
    Thanks

I like File Manager. Its open source, free with no ads, and works great and simply

Astro, only because it's what I've used on the last three phones. Does everything I need.

No it's published by GIRA.me. I like it because they use the holo ui so it blends right in with everything else on the phone.

I'm a Root Explorer user, mainly because it's what I've always used. All the other ones mentioned here are solid apps.

On all my other phones I have used root explorer. The Moto X is the first phone I have not wanted and did not root. I'm pretty sure there is no root exploit for the Verizon Moto X on KitKat anyway. But root explorer is a very nice file manager. I liked how I could edit txt files in the browser instead of opening another app

ES File explorer for me, mostly because it's what I started using and you can backup and restore the configuration. When you have as many network folders mapped as I do that becomes pretty damn useful :-).

I am attached to FX File Explorer. Free with easy Root access add-in. I love the UI, easy navigation, adjustable icon sizes.
