Moto X changing the way of opening an image

I have a motorola x which works absolutely fine. But from yesterday when I try to open any image file from file manager it automatically opens the file through google plus. But I need to open those files through gallery. Is there any option to revert back the setting so that it again prompts me the list of apps to open my image file? Awaiting for responses..

Which file manager are you using? My Root Explorer gives me options upon selecting a picture since I haven't set a default. Try going to Settings > Apps > (your file manager) > Launch by default > Clear defaults.

^what groid said, except do that to the Google photos app. Then you should get a dialogue asking which app to open next time
