Moto X 1st gen 5.1 Update on root

Hello,

couple of days back i received much awaited lolipop 5.1 update to my moto x first gen rooted device. i downloaded it and when i was trying to install it end up in Teamwin options.

I have 5.1 image in /cache folder. my query is, should i stock flash my phone and then upgrade to 5.1 or flash 5.1 image using fastboot?

Also please suggest me what precautions should be taken.

You cannot flash 5.1 until you have proper stock 4.4.4
It also failed in fastboot mode

So first you have to flash the stock rom via fastboot then flash 5.1 . I have done it like this only
