The metal edges and the thinness of the edges help it grip better. The bigger dimple (it's not really a "dimple" anymore because it's pretty big) feels nice. I've seen multi-circle active display notifications, which I assume will come via a play store update to the X, but that's just my opinion. The X+1 will have additional sensors in the bottom bezel (not seen in the popular bamboo X+1 leak) that will offer hands-free gesture controls. I haven't seen the controls in action, just heard about what they will be used for.

If you want something new, I got hands-on with the leather version last week. Pretty nice- the texture felt like a broken-in baseball glove. Similar color, too (though there will be other colors...I think 2 more). I wouldn't get leather, but it seemed nice. There are plans to offer sports-themed leather-backed (basketball, football) devices.

Oh, and the Sept 25th release is accurate "if everything goes to plan."
    For posterity.

Is it true that there are designs that look like Disney(TM) LucasFilms(TM) STARWARS(TM) Lightsabers(TM)?

The camera ring looks a little odd. And the dimple may be a button after all, which makes me excited.

O and no branding on the front ;-)

Oh, strike that, (my Sam comment) I see the white comes with a bamboo back.

It's not a button, unfortunately. It was planned, but scrapped.

I was thinking the same thing about the camera. I'm not a big fan of the ring LED around the camera.

Moto X, Moto G, and Moto E don't have branding in the front.

Heck I don't think the DROID MINI, DROID ULTRA, and DROID MAXX don't have branding in the front either.

Why not? Who really cares it's a clean look and might actually function better?

It could, but I don't like how it is very distinguishable from the lens itself. On the Nexus 5 which has the same design, it all looks like one piece. Personally liked the look of the X better.

It won't function better. You want to get the flash as far away from the lens as possible. You're going to see more red eye with this setup. Ideally the flash should be on the bottom left (if viewing the back of the phone).

I just want to know the specs of the camera and see how it performs. Its a nice looking phone, hopefully it feels good in the hand and fits in the pocket.

I would almost rather not take a picture than take it with a cell phone flash. Hopefully the camera functions closer to the competitors without flash.

Agreed. I only use my phone's flash for a flashlight. Haha

I avoid using my phone flash if at all possible, so the ring flash doesn't bother me. It seems that if it was a serious detriment to photo quality, it would have been changed.

Rebate form that starts tonight has the phone listed with its brand name: "The New Moto X" so 99% for sure that is going to the phones model name on Verizon.
