Looks like you can set Touchless Control to something other than "OK Google Now".

Bigger question, can you use voice controls on a locked phone?

My guess is they will, but that's just my opinion. Is there any reason to hold out hope that these improvements to Touchless Control will find their way over to the original Moto X? I mean, it's not as if there is a new piece of hardware that is making this possible... it seems to be only related to the software. Of course, they could just make the existing Moto X owners suffer, and force them to buy the new device by not updating anything.

My guess is they will bring it over. They will..... bring it over to the original Moto X? Or They will.... make us suffer?![]()
Punit Soni (source google +) has said they will be bringing many of the New X's software advances to older phones which have the correct hardware. I'm assuming this means that 1st Gen X will get the new moto voice.
Finally! They have been working on this since about a year before the original X came out.
I'm going to have too many options now. Hello Moto? Wake up, Buddy? Hey you?
