Video player and Chrome

This is driving me insane any help appreciated.


whenever i want to watch an embedded video in chrome it automatically opens motorola's default "video player". i suspect its the same app as the gallery but i have cleared that app's default actions and it still opens this "video player". i cannot find any other app named "video player".


problem is, this native "video player" does not play any video at all. it loads and loads and then finally i get an error message saying it doesn't support that video format..


with my old htc one m7 i could watch embedded videos in chrome no problem.


anybody have this issue?

Try going to Settings>Apps​, tap Menu, then tap Reset All App Preferences. This will clear all app defaults (and will also re-enable any disabled apps).
