In using the one m8 after previously using the nexus 5. I like the m8 and rate sense 6 more than I expected compared to stock but something is drawing me to the x. Has anyone done the switch? How do you find it?

I have the M8, Nexus 5, and the 2013 Moto X, and I would honestly rate the X as the best device of the three. But, at the same time, the other two are no slouches either.

I traded my m8 for the X. Really happy with the decision. I loved the m8, but like the form factor of the x much better and i love stock android and the small additions moto made. The only thing i miss about the m8 is the equalizer and sound amplification software

I sold my M8 for a S5 and then sold the S5 for the X. This is how I rank the phones. Moto X > M8 > S5.

For those that have had both, how would you rate the cameras compared to each other? I know they are very different, but I'm curious if there is a general though that one is better than the other. After deciding that the Nexus 6 is too big, I'm debating between these 2 phones and am coming from a Nexus 5.

They seemed pretty much the same to me. I think the x is probably a little better in lighted conditions. I'm not really an expert though as I don't expect too much out of my cell cameras haha. The front facing camera seems to operate kind of slow I noticed though.

I had the M8... I definitely prefer the stock look and feel of the Moto X. My personal opinion on most of these new devices is that they put TOO many bells and whistles in them. Some things are good, but I disabled most of them in the M8, including their launcher. I did like the speakers, but the Moto X has very good speakers for what they are... you can at least hear people you are talking to using the speaker phone, unlike the S4. As far as the camera... for a smartphone it's pretty good... it's a smartphone camera.

Plus the Pure Edition is the greatest... no carrier bloat.
