Back material discussion

I wanted to make this topic to see if I made a bad decision on the back color I chose. I went with the royal blue, which I think I will like aesthetically. But after doing a little more digging, it looks like a lot of people prefer the feel of the material used for the "neutral" colors like black and grey. Has anyone held both and would be able to comment? Or just be able to tell me what the "cool" colors material feels like?

From my understanding only the black is soft touch. You should be able to check that out in a carrier store or Best Buy. The rest of the plastic backs are smooth similar to the Nexus 6.
