Data Icon bug??

I apologize if this has been discussed, I did a quick search but did not see it posted.

Whenever I receive or make a phone call, my 4GLTE symbol changes to 1x. It does this every time. I think it is just a weird bug, as I really don't believe every call I'm on is only using "1x" signal strength. I never drop calls, just wondering if anyone else has this issue?

Voiceover on LTE 4g is not enabled due it it being highly ineffective, battery use etc. I think this is why they do it.

Verizon is going to enable voice over LTE one of these days, that'll solve the problem.
