The only thing I don't like (so far) is the inability to rename it; give it a more personal name, like "Baby Cakes" or some such.

The wood is a little too slippery for my taste. I'm not quite getting the battery life I wanted (seeing 3-3.5, wanted 4+ hours sot). I wish the dimple were bigger/deeper.

What do you mean? My launch phrase is "beam me up Scotty"

No, not the launch phrase. I mean renaming the device to something other than XT1575. I've been able to do that with every other Android phone I've had.

Not being able to just turn down the notifications sound like on my Note 5. Other than that it's a great phone so far.

There is that option in the bluetooth settings. Is that what you mean?

Re: What do you NOT like about this phone?

1. Non replaceable battery
2. Only 3000mAh
3. No IR blaster (handy in sports bars)
4. Still "being built"

That's about it so far, but expect the pluses to far outweigh the minuses. No image stabilization too perhaps, but a "real" camera to me is one with an optical zoom :)

Lol...."being built." The Motorola elves must really be feeling the heat.

What I don't like is that I'm not holding one right now to tell you exactly what I don't like about the phone. :p

Yours is still showing as being built? Mine too - since September 3rd. I tried to call them tonight - I was on hold 26 minutes before the call was disconnected.

got mine today, don't know if I like that it's not an AMOLED display, it's nice but you can tell the whole screen is powering on for Moto Display....

There's no way to adjust the different sounds like in other devices? The option was in the Razr.

Yep. Being built. Verrry slooowly.

Re: What do you NOT like about this phone?

Hm... What do I not like? Honestly I really don't have any complaints.

I guess if I had to choose I wouldn't mind wireless charging for the convenience.. Definitely not needed but options are nice.

I'm really liking mine so far. It doesn't feel nearly as big as I thought it would due to its shape. I, too, would love it if the phone supported Qi wireless charging but it isn't a huge deal.

Not really, but thanks anyway. (I did change that one) The one I'm talking about had the option in the About Phone setting that had a Device Name option. It's no longer there, but I don't know if that's a Moto XPE trait or a 5.1.1 trait. My Note 4 was 5.0.2 and had that option.

Battery not any better than last year...

that seems to be an issue amongst those that have had almost a week with the phone. sends 4 hours SOT max, but 3-3.5 is more common. that's pretty disappointing, but considering it's 2015 and OEMs don't care about battery life, I guess it's too be expected.

I'm withholding my opinion on battery life for a few weeks. It should be broken-in by then. Right now, after just a few days use, I would rate it just adequate.

Could have been mostly solved by just sticking with 1080p. Why they chose to chase specs in this particular department is really beyond me.
