Why Llama wasn't working on my Moto X Pure

I recently got a new Moto X Pure (on Verizon) and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why Llama was having a problem seeing any cell towers. Occasionally it would detect one, but 90% of the time it would ignore it because the cell would be identified as "-1:-1:-1". At first I thought it was something in Lollipop that was preventing Llama from getting cell tower info, but every now and then Llama would detect a tower correctly. Well, I finally figured out the problem. I had to turn off Enhanced 4G LTE Mode under Settings / Cellular Networks. Now it works like a charm! Just figured I'd post in case anyone else was trying to debug this problem.

Thanks! How on earth did you figure that out?! I was having the same problem on my Nexus 5X.
Also, I think it's a Marshmallow only thing because I didn't have that problem on my OG Moto X
