Is it worth me stepping up to the X? Since I'm on a bit of a budget I was thinking of something like the ZenFone 2 or Alcatel. Do you think I should just spend the extra for what I assume is a better phone (the X)?

Don't need gaming or high processor needs). Just email, Web, music, etc.

The Moto apps are worth something. So is the lack of bloat. Especially compared to the Asus phone.

Is the new Moto G an option for you? (Compatibility, enough memory, specs) Decent phone, customizable and near water proof.

I agree with Dmark. The Moto G 2015 could be a good option, especially the 2gb model. If you are after a bigger screen and more muscle the X Play/Maxx 2 would be my choice.

It's worth it. Base model $399 then add a memory card when you need more storage

I appreciate all the replies. I think I'm gonna just go for the new Moto X. I don't want to be cheap and regret it later.
