Moto Assist/Voice - Drive Mode Auto-Detect: Android 6.0 Marshmallow (Moto X Pure Edition)

Just wanted to confirm that Drive mode has been moved to the Voice section of the Moto app and that the phone still detects when you are driving.

Good to know. I've been concerned about that. The release notes are not clear.

But I can't get it to do anything when moving and see the roadway in the notification area.
Besides read texts or loud, what can I expect to happen?
Is there no drive dock mode in Moto any longer?

There hasn't been a car dock mode in any Moto in a long time.

The first gen Moto X had a car dock mode. And Moto sold an official car dock.

I can't be imagining that, can I?

There is an official car dock.

There was no car mode UI. I believe it just turned on Assist's Driving Mode.

Well I set up my nav app, CAR HOME ULTRA, and fired it up and eventually CAR MODE appeared.
I guess there is not much to it, tho, because I find no settings. Only the notification that is enabled and touch to turn off.

I remember placing the phone on activated something (inconsistently) but I don't remember exactly what. Must not have been a car mode.

Well, its clearly called CAR MODE, but there is no app to manipulate that I can find.
The notification icon is a steering wheel, as opposed to the DRIVING ASSIST, which looks like a roadway.

Odd. I just did a factory reset on mine and drive mode doesn't seem to be there. I looked in the "voice" section of the Moto app and there's nothing.

Tap on "Talk to me". Driving should be in there.

Hi, I'm new to this and couldn't work out how to attach a picture to my reply but my Moto app only shows Actions and Display, there is no Voice option, so how do I activate the Driver Assist alternative?
