Phone not detect SD card when locked

Hi guys, it seems my moto x doesn't detect the SD card when the screen is locked or turned off, that I need to restart the phone for the SD card to show up in Storage.
As long as the screen is on it regcornize the SD card just normally.
I've tried few cards already and they seem to follow the same behaviour.
I wonder if it's normal for moto x pure/style?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying that if the screen goes to sleep, and then you wake the phone up later, it no longer sees the SD card until you reboot the phone?

Sorry what I mean is my phone doesn't detect the SD card whenever I insert that card into the phone while the screen is off, then I have to reboot for the card to show up.
If I insert the card while screen on the card got detected just fine.

Is it a normal behaviour?

Nevermind I went to a local store and found out that my phones not alone regarding this problem.

That's a strange issue. Did the store give you a replacement?

I didn't ask for a replacement since all other X Styles I've tested there had the same problem, I guess it's a Marshmallow thing.
I guess people don't remove and insert SD cards often to regcornize this issue.

Yeah, I never insert/remove the SD card without turning the phone off.

Just thought of something--are you using the card as adopted Internal Storage, or as Portable Storage? If it was adopted, then the behavior you're seeing might be due to this (and you should avoid removing an adopted SD card, since that can cause problems with the normal operation of your apps).
