Hello everyone,

I own Moto X Stytle (Indian Version). Truly love this phone.

1. Old Unit

There are some serious heating issues need your comments.

So last month I've ordered & then upgraded to Android Marshmallow.

On 5 min usage the phone heated up like hot cake. Even if I play low end games like candy crush saga or temple run or subway surfers & when I played asphalt airborne that went even higher.

Cooler Master temperate was 46.5 C and CPUz was close to 47 C

So I called up to get the unit replaced.

New Unit

Now I've the new unit (upgraded to Android Marshmallow)

Same issue but the temperate is bit lesser even then touches around 45 C (Cooler Master and CPUz score) on 5 - 10 mins use

My new units AnTuTu Benchmark score is over 69k. There are some lags When I play games like candy crush saga but these are not much seen when I play asphalt airborne or modern combat

Even while browsing or using wifi the temperature moves upto 42 C

When the unit heats I cant take up calls as the screen is very hot. The heat are on both sides of the phone. Front side feel are more.

Are these normal or even my new unit is bad one.

2. There are some lags on the new unit while using applications.

3. Here comes the battery life (I've the screen brightness to almost minimum around 15%)
Normal use > about 1 day
Mixed use > 12 hrs
Heavy games > 5 hrs max

So is this hardware fault or do you think Motorola / Lenovo would come up with an update to solve the issue.

Can you help as I'm bit scared as this one my first high end phone.

Thanks in advance.

Depending on what games you play it could get hot. Angry Birds 2 will heat it to 110F easily, lots of YouTube or browsing maybe 100F.

I assume these temps are without connection to the turbo charger?

Battery life decent, light use 1 day, medium use needs topping off in the afternoon, heavy use around 6-7 hours?

I have the moto x force & my phone was hearing up quickly the other day & my battery life was shorter too. Found out it was the Facebook app causing problems so deleted it & installed metal instead. Now my phone is back to normal & never goes above 40 degrees C unless it's turbo charging.
