Must be carrier related? On Aio it disappears.

I think its carrier thing, I have att and it goes away when on wifi

Thank you for the info. I have found that if I use the app called Trigger to disable mobile data when connected to Wi-Fi the 4G icon goes away.

I switched over to the stock launcher because I was a little tired of the big icons on Google now launcher. I do like that the stock launcher has transparent nav bar and status bar. The gpe devices do not have that on the stock launcher.

I dont really see that as big bonus as its only on home screen and adds 0 functionality. If it was transparent on browser too then i would be happy.

Yeah it just offers a cleaner look on the home screen. Android does have the ability to have transparent top and bottom bars in apps, so it might come one day to chrome. What I would like more to see in chrome is immersive mode. Have the bars appear when you scroll and disappear after, bus l but even just transparent bars on the homescreen I'll take what I can get.

Finally settled on this background, will definitely go back and forth between this and the previous 2 I've posted.

I've tried out so many combos and styles. This one seemed the best as of now. My media section on 4.4.2.
