Default Moto X - Ok Sprint..., Let's Go!

After the events last week I felt sure 4.4 would hit sprint today. Getting impatient!

Punit soni of Motorola mobility posted on Google + that he was taking a much needed holiday break...

I read somewhere that the hold up for sprint was something to do with Google wallet integration

I will admit, I can't wait for the update too, but I would rather wait and have it be decent.

That's strange. All i did was turn nfc on...go to wallet, add my visa card and set up my pin #. Works like a charm. It even lists all of your transactions.

Sorry your getting impatient without the latest version of Android on your phone, maybe if you hold your breadth and stomp your feet

And I'm old enough to remember rotary dial phones and having to rent them from the one and only phone company in the USA. So what? You want to go back to those days? Motorola set the bar high---not me.

Vacation time. I doubt you'll see anything pushing earlier than 12/2.

About the 5 minute mark they mention why sprint might take a little longer due to the way Google wallet was set up on sprint and something to do as well with Google voice.

How much longer? I think probably weeks but shouldn't be longer than that. End of year for sure.

You don't have a contract on your computer. You do on your phone. That and if you have windows 8 there is a totally free update to 8.1 so yea.

To get said free Windoze update I'd have to actually update.

I hear that if you keep checking for updates it happens sooner but you get more frustrated

Another day....sprint falls further behind. And yet sprint up until now had a pretty good update reputation. Is sprint the new Verizon??

Having both used the Moto X and the Nexus 5 for about a week each you won't notice much of a difference in 4.4, It's really not that big of a deal. The only thing that you will notice is the dialer which is pretty cool when it automatically looks up who's calling you when they are not in your contacts. But that's it.

You should also know that some of my apps didn't work so great on the Nexus 5. My email app Kaiten (based on K-9) hid the first 3 lines on all my emails, something that other people complained about on their app store. I had to reply to an email in order to read it, that way I could scroll down to the message and read it. I really could care less about 4.4 and you will too

Maybe if people listen to the podcast where they say that the sprint version will take longer because of wallet and Google voice they could stop the crying. I'd rather them give me a update that is close to problem free opposed to having to send out constant bug fixes. Just me.

Ding ding ding, exactly. I want Voice and Wallet to work (I use them daily) when the update comes and have NO problem waiting for Google and Sprint to get it right or at least attempt to.

BTW I have not yet had anyone in the "real" world ask me what OS my X is running

Please, Sprint is such a screwed up company. I'm not holding my breadth for getting KitKat anytime soon.
