What kind of launcher does the Moto X have? There's an app I was looking at that only works on certain launchers and I have no idea what it is or where to find that info. TIA

The moto X launcher is motorolas version of android, granted its extremely close to stock. What app are you looking to use? The app probably requires a third party launcher.

Installing 3rd party launchers is easy, and you can always revert back to the stock launcher. It's one of the ways Android is so flexible.

The Moto X has a variant of the stock AOSP launcher that comes on any Vanilla Android device. All the launchers you mentioned are third party launchers that can be downloaded from the play store. I, however, prefer Google's own "Google Now Launcher" but it requires downloading the apk file and side loading it. I'm sure whatever app you were looking at will work on the Moto X with one of the aforementioned third pastry launchers.

You can select the default launcher by going to Settings->Home. I have attached a screenshot of the settings menu you will be looking for.

Same here, no setting that looks like that. Does it show up after you load it on your phone? Thanks.

Great lesson for the night. Up until now, I had been using the Twisted Home manager to switch between launchers.
