VZW Backup Assistant Is Going To Cause Me To Crash

So all of a sudden VZW's Backup Assistant is popping up all the time. Especially when I'm driving and on Waze. It's going to cause me to CRASH!

How do I uninstall, deactivate, DESTROY it?

I don't want to use the service. WTF!

Please help before I get intimate with a tree. :-\

If you're on the Waze beta it's a bug. You should be able to correct it by disabling contact sync on your Waze account:

Settings>Accounts>Waze
