Just got the Z Force. There is no more "gallery"..just Google play. Love it for back up but hate it as my "gallery ". I am trying to organize my pictures & delete some (downloaded Quikpic) & since some are on the SD card & others on phone I can't find them all to organize. I don't know how to transfer them. Any suggestions or other apps more like moto gallery? And why does my battery drop so fast? I thought it would last longer.

From the main page of Google Photos, if you tap Menu>Device Folders, you can see your folders in a way that might be easier to organize. Otherwise, I've heard some good things about Piktures.

Regarding the battery, we'd need to get more details from you. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

    1. The main Settings>Battery screen.2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
    3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
    4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

[GUIDE] How To Post Screenshots on Android Central

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.

Anything I can do now to help it last longer? I know the cell strength at my work sucks & not allowed to use wifi. I have only had phone since Friday. It's all set up & hate to do a total restore already. I believe I got 2 updates already

The reason why some of the screenshot posts didn't show up immediately was that they automatically went into Moderation (which can happen sometimes if a user only posts a bunch of image without anything else). I approved the posts, and then deleted the duplicates.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about the battery drain caused by poor cell signal, apart from turning on Airplane Mode. If you're not allowed to use the wi-fi at work, that would mean that your phone wouldn't have any internet access at all.

I apologize for the duplicate photos. I am new to all of this. So does that seem to be what the problem is? The poor cell signal? I just use my data at work when I am on the internet. What else can I do to keep it from draining when using data?

I can't say if it's the only problem, but it is certainly a significant factor. Unless there's a way for your workplace to get a signal booster from your carrier, there isn't much you can do. You could keep it in Airplane Mode, and only toggle it off when you need to access data.

2:40 minutes of on screen time is a lot of use in 6 hours 39 minutes, IMO, especially when you are using mobile data with weak signal. Any phone is going to struggle with battery life in those conditions with that much use. It's particularly true of Motorola phones, which seem to struggle with battery life compared with other phones.

You can get a battery mod to snap on the back for this phone. Perhaps that is the best answer?

I contacted Verizon to see if there was anything I could do about signal strength. They recommended changing my settings to "enable data access over mobile network " and change the network from "Global" to LTE/CDMA. I did this. It looks like it made things worse or am I reading it wrong since I was home later & u can see where I was able to be on Wifi.

I'm not sure where on that graph you made the changes that Verizon suggested.

For the record, when you are in the United States, Global is exactly the same at LTE/CDMA, with one exception: Global just adds the ability to connect to GSM/UMTS networks when you are outside the US and there is no CDMA network available (most places around the world don't use CDMA at all). The only reason that switch would help is if the phone isn't seeing CDMA at all and tries to connect to GSM (even though it will never connect). The switch to LTE/CDMA will never make it worse - Verizon will never roam to a GSM network (used by AT&T and T-Mobile) when you are in the US.

No. WiFi does not affect mobile signal. Distance from cell towers is the main cause of low signal (though it can also be because the building you are in is absorbing signal.)

Do you **need** notifications from the Facebook app? If you can live without them, try uninstalling the app and connecting to Facebook using the Chrome browser. It works almost exactly the same way. Try it for a couple of days. See if that helps battery life a little.

You also obviously have Outlook. If you have Exchange mail connections, that can also affect battery life. Theres not much you can do about that if you need it to be Exchange.

+1 on the Facebook app being a battery drain and it's also a lag inducer. I just bookmarked the Facebook page in Chrome as a home icon and my phone has run smoother with improved battery life ever since.

Your cell signal is pretty bad too. I can't imagine that isn't causing some battery life issues.

You can force the radio into 3g if your 4g signal is poor. 4g switcher is one app that can do this.
